As part of the World Clean Up Day held on the 21st of September and the Eco School Project our school is actively working on, 4 classes, particularly Mr Miven’s classes (CP3, CP4, CM2-1 & CM2-4), decided to plant differently in the school yard.
Each CM2 student was responsible of a CP student while both « putting in the ground », some new plants and vegetables. Effectively, last week some students collected emptied coconuts at the Port-Louis market to set up this special educational project.
« We decided to find a new mean to plant instead of using plastic flowerpots. »
« After some research on the net, we came across a photo showing some people planting in coconuts; »
« With the help of the class teachers, we planted in the coconuts and placed them in the schoolyard. Every day, a group of students will water the plants. »
